As I was shooting towards the sky, I used fill-in flash to lighten up the shadows and bring out the colours of the design on the bottom of the skateboard. Standing on the half pipe itself meant I had to use a 17mm lens to get all the elements in the picture. What you don't realise when you take a shot like this, is that the skateboarders are only inches away from your face.
