I had done some tight shots of various tricks, but I wanted to convey the height of the riders as they performed above the crowd. I shot from low down on the beach so I could include the tops of the heads of the spectators on the beach and sea wall, whilst leaving enough room in the sky for the rider. Then all I had to do was get my timing right.
