This picture of top Jersey swimmer Samantha Chaperon was shot for use on a phone card, one of a set of ten,
to commemorate the holding of the 1997 Island Games in Jersey.
This was my first attempt at underwater photography. I did a two hour shoot with Sam,
during which time she repeatedly swam over the top of me as I was held under water by a weight belt.
Although I had made a few mistakes, the results were not bad, but they were not good enough either.
I convinced Sam to do another two hour session, and with previous errors rectified, my success rate
was much higher. This was the shot that stood out.
